One of the principles underlying the activities of the health department is promoting more equitable access to information, skills and the technology needed for development in general and for health in particular. ACI promotes the wider circulation of information on health through:
- Assistance in creating and managing documentation and resource centers
- Design, production, dubbing and distribution of films in French, English and national languages
- Design, production and distribution of documents and IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials
- Broad distribution and sale of subsidized learning materials
- Design of resource documents (e.g. Directories of organizations working in the response to HIV, in Adolescent Reproductive Health, etc.)
- Strengthening documentation systems and information exchange
- Transforming the results of research into user-friendly documents
- Development and management of e-forums for electronic information sharing and discussion

The Center also provides information and documentation on health and development to individuals and resource institutions.
